Best update ever!

Finally cronometer has reached a level where it has become user friendly and very good looking! Great update you guys!

Waste of money

List contains NO supplements. It will take all day to create the list of supplement I take and I dont have the time. Ill stick with myfitnesspal. This app is too much trouble.

Bugs

Compared to the website, this app has less features and more bugs. Some are really annoying.

Inaccurate?

Great app! Semi confusing interface compared to other food tracking apps. Also small database and found some products to be inaccurate with macros. Amazing concept of what this app does but they need to figure out some things before it gets 5 stars. Also, I really like the white app icon but on my phone it is displayed as an awful orange color

Great app till today

Whats going on Kronometer? You were great until I logged into today and my macros werent loading. I love your app but fix things guys, you are way better than fitnesspal.

Excellent Nutrition App

CRON-O-Meter is a stupendous app for people who really want to understand their nutrition. Other apps may have more foods in their databases, but that’s because they rely on user-generated foods that are often duplicates of each other or riddled with errors; COM has foods from authoritative government and academic scientific sources as well as vetted community-generated entries. And it gives you the full power to see *very* detailed nutrition info, not just calories, carbs, protein, and fat, or just what’s on the food label. And it displays it in a clear, action-oriented way that reflects the individual user’s priorities and concerns. It’s easy to use and with a lot of flexibility. The new interface for the iPhone app from late September 2015 is very nice. To reviewers complaining about the macros: actually, CRON-O-Meter uses the more accurate method of tracking how much actual available energy there is from protein, carbs, and fat: when this leads to discrepancies with crude use of the “4-4-9” Calories-per-gram or the simple subtraction of fiber grams from carb grams encouraged by the overly-simplistic “net carb” notion, it’s COM that has it right.

App crashes

Love this app, but the most recent update (9/29) has a cumbersome interface in the diary entry, which does not look like the screenshot provided in the app description. The new interface requires more taps than before to enter quantity and change units. Ive used both the app and website throughout each day for several years and never had an issue until now. The new format looks like its trying to be sleeker - in reality, it is more cumbersome, enough so that unless the developers change it, Ill use it much less in the future. Please change it back!!! A few other points: -the macros appear incorrect in the diary entry page for many foods. A medium tomato, for example, apparently now contains 4.8 g protein, .25 g fat, and 0 g carbs. Who knew? -With the new design, the bottom item on a days entry is often half covered by the macro/target/nutrients lime, and its difficult to move or delete that item. This is most problematic on the iPad. -the app uses the apple-in-a-circle logo as an icon at top and bottom of the screen (and next to each food item). I find myself frequently tapping the nutrient breakdown icon when I want to add a food, and vice versa. Please differentiate the icons -variety can be a good thing, in both diets and apps. For now, Im still a big fan of cronometer, and in general like the new design. But it needs some tweaks - and hopefully a reverse update on the diary entry design.

Disappointed

I just purchased this app and it will not load. Stuck on the agreement page. What is going in? Disappointed for sure.

WONT WORK

I am still trying to sign up for this all and it wont let me pass the agreement page it just froze there. So annoyed I paid money for this and cant even login

Best Nutrient Tracking App!!

I could never stick to a food journal, meal log, or nutrient tracking app before I found this one. I absolutely love how this app breaks down each micronutrient and each amino acid! I also love that the search feature literally has every possible food item all the way to the brand! Its fun being able to see the nutrient breakdown of the foods Im eating.

Love love love

Ive had this app for a while and loved it even before the update, but now, its even better than before. The layout looks great, its easy to maneuver and the amount of information this app offers regarding your nutrition is amazing. I didnt want a weight loss app but something that could still track my calories, vitamins, minerals etc and this app exceeds my expectations!!! I highly recommend this app to everyone and anyone who is looking to be a more informed eater and be healthier overall.

waste of money

not user friendly, hard to set up, no food library from which to choose foods, you have to enter each ingredient separately. Too much work. Try Myfitnesspal. much easier.

The only honest calorie calorie tracker

This amazing app saved me from the the macro nutrient counting inaccuracies of myfitnesspal! I dont need an app to tell me how to train or eat, just be honest about how much Im really consuming and this does just that. Im very happy my coach JC Deen recommended it and it was well worth the purchase! This was a 3 star review until today, now theres a barcode scanner and its almost perfect. Please just add a way to share my diary with others and youll have the perfect nutrition app and a 5th star from me for sure!

Great idea- but faulty on the info.

I have been a Paleo eater for 5 years. I have crunched my numbers and know where I should be: carbs protein, fat etc… I have used Fatsecret app and then switched to Myfitnesspal, and both are within range of what my calculations already have shown. So, I know it’s correct or within range. Cronometer, has an excellent idea with its micro nutrients, but when I plugged in my goals, it had me eating almost twice as much food on every level [protein, carbs, fats] then I should. So if thats not correct, then how can anything else be correct? I wrote to chronometer and asked about this, they suggested I manipulate my BMR to reflect what I want my numbers to be. But if you can’t enter something in correctly, as it is, then what good is the app to begin with?? I don’t want to manipulate anything- I want an accurate reading of where I’m at. Needless to say, the fact that I paid for this-provided the incentive to write this review. Save your money Folks.

Finally A Barcode Scanner

Its a lot easier to use this app since the last update made it possible to just scan your meals. Some things could still be improved, though.

Thank you!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the barcode scanner!

Solid app

This is great because not only does it track calories, but it also tracks vitamins and minerals, even going so far as to track each amino acid in protein. Its easy to input data. The only reason it doesnt have 5 stars is because there were a few nutrients (like biotin) that it doesnt track, and other similar apps have the feature that suggest foods that help supply vitamins/minerals you are low on. Overall a great app.

Meh.

I purchased this app because fitness pal doesnt track the nutrients with the same degree of detail that I wanted. This app seemed to fit the bill. My problem is that when I scan food into the barcode feature it doesnt input all the nutrients that are actually in the food in my daily goals. Not sure if this is a problem with all the foods, or If I just happened to choose the right foods. But I can tell that they have vitamins and minerals in them by the nutrition facts label on the side panel, it just doesnt register it in the daily tracking app.

Great App!

The App is great. I couldnt find a better one than this. It track things nicely and Ive personally never had a problem with it. ** I do have two recommendations for future upgrades. 1. Update the app to track the consumption of fruit, vegetable, whole grain and protein sources. That way an individual can track if they are getting the recommended 7-9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day as well as the 5-11 servings of whole grains. 2. The LFRV 30bananaday link you can click on to show if you are conforming to a certain diet shows 1% fat, 8% carbs, 1% Protein. I understand its 80/10/10 however others may be left scratching their heads. Great app, these are just two of my recommendations for the next upgrade, otherwise keep up the good work. I dont review apps I download but this one, I felt, needed to be praised!

Do not pay for this app

First off it was a good week or more that it took for the money to come out of my bank to pay for this app. I thought it must be free now or something because the money was not being deducted. Second the app is completely inaccurate. I drank 2 cups of milk and it still said 0% vitamin D. Its not like myfitness pal where you put in a food and it comes up either you have to constantly scan barcodes and many times youll find the scan not working. And also the app was $2.99 but $3.25 was taken out of my account. This app is a waste of money.
