very glitchy for a paid app does not have phytoplankton powder in the food list....please add!
To start, the add a food section is broken and will not let me actually add the specifics of the food. Secondly its slow whenever I want to add a food. Third of all, its absolutely the worst update ever as it takes longer to have to press add a food at the beginning and go through the whole process. Whenever I want to see my total daily nutrition it often shows me just one foods composition until I reboot the app. Fix it
$4 for a slow app! Its terrible and takes forever to load the foods you want to add into your log-in. Please fix this!
I love the app and use it daily but Im getting frustrated with it constantly changing my carbs to only track net carbs and continually turning off my weight goal tracking...needs a bug fix
EDIT ON LATEST UPDATE: I have a fairly well maintained iPhone 5S and I am seeing performance issues since the last update. Mostly on the nutrition details page and anywhere there is a "Back" button. Either the page hangs entirely or lags horribly. I think something else is happening with user session. Sometimes I have to restart the app to be able to save anything (I can search for foods, add but it wont save to my log). ------ OVERALL REVIEW: If you are serious about tracking macros and micros, get this app and get the premium reporting too. Very much worth to see trends so you can supplement were needed. Perfect for those who care seriously for nutrition and eat for the value. Encourages you to eat more whole and unprocessed foods unlike other databases that have a lot of user entered junk food with questionable nutritional values. Basically, if you cant search for it, you should probably not eat it :) I am not the biggest fan of how large the top menu bar added to the latest version is. It has text labels too which makes the width even larger. I like the added functionality but the menu bar can be minimized to mirror the bottom bar with descriptive icons do we will have more space for diary of food specially on older phones.
I wanted to try this app out after a recommendation of a friend. Pros: The app is very colorful and the nutrition breakdown is very detailed. Its cheap compared to other apps out there. Cons: unfortunately, the food library is limited. The same barcode I scanned in the myfitnesspal was unrecognizable in this app. The nutrition breakdown isnt effective for self-inputted foods (like I really know what the selenium count is in my bag of salted almonds). Overall, depending on your needs and desires, this app could be for you. It wasnt for me....
The aggregate function, where nutritional values are added for the day, is hanging on my iPad and iPhone since last update. A performance bug?
I think you need to include more into the app you have to compete with my fitness pal. My fitness pal has a larger variety of foods you also have to make the app a little bit more fun my fitness pal has News and articles on the front. Yes you do have more of the nutrients thats why I do like your app better but you need to include more foods to make it more applicable to what people eat.
your app sucks! I keep punching in values for nutrition target and it keeps switching to your defaults! what a waist...
On the account page at google I see that I have authorized cronometer to access my account, the web login page from within the app gives me a "successful login" but the app then says "login failed authentication failed". Please, fix this!
Dr. Mercola and Dr. Pompa mentioned this app recently on a podcast, some had to try it. It has a ketogenic option, which is great (figures out your macros for you). You can also adjust the carbs to be net or straight carbs. It also allows you to copy over the previous days entries. I tried to add an MCT supplement using the bar code function, and it worked immediately. I was able to add the nutritional information on the canister myself. Other apps make you take pictures of the product and wait for them to enter it. I also love the graphics - you can see if youre on target in an instant. Great little tool.
This is really easy and great app. I was surprised at how much of the food they already had in their data base. Its also super easy to add your own food. Definitely recommend.
Im not the type to leave reviews, but this is one of those instances where I have to tell health conscious people that this app is absolutely one of the best things that ever happened to me. I wish I had this decades ago. It has a huge database of nutritional information for common foods and even brand name foods. You can use your camera to scan a barcode and the nutritional info is uploaded. You get a full breakdown of what you are getting in terms of macronutrients and micronutrients. I recommend this to everyone who wants a convenient way to meet their nutritional and fitness goals,
Super impressed with this app. Is there a better option out there for tracking nutrients? I dont think so. Highly recommend app.
I installed the app which was normal. However, you cant change the nutrition targets within the app (they are defaulted to 0%?). You can tell it you want custom, but not what the percentages should be. At that point it tells me to set up an account online, which is fine. On my iPhone, the web page doesnt seem designed to work - the validation code is a pop up. I pasted the code in and I tapped "validate" but nothing happened. So then I close the browser, and click the link from within the email. The browser opens but sits there with the progress bar at about 20%. No success. Not a great first impression - I should be able to use it right away but it wasnt ready for that.
Great app. This can be the core of any smart health strategy
I use this app on a daily basis to monitor my nutrient intake since Im on a pescatarian diet. I love how detailed it is as far as monitoring specific vitamins and proteins. However, Ive stopped scanning the barcodes of items because I noticed that a lot of the information uploaded onto my phone didnt match the nutritional information on the product. I manually input all the nutrition info off of the product itself which gets annoying at times. At this point Ive logged in all the food I eat on a regular basis which makes inputting new food less of a recurring thing. Besides that Im very happy with the app. Its worth a couple of dollars compared to a similar version of a myfitnesspal premium account that has a monthly/yearly fee.
Ive had to enter my macros 16 times and it keeps changing back to whatever it wants. I cant believe I wasted money on this app.
The app itself deserves 4-5 stars. However, the latest update is unstable. I have to restart the app a few times per day now. And every few days, the server has problems so the app doesnt work at all for a while.
